MIND-BODY THERAPY
EFT – EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE
Origins & Tradition
EFT blends Eastern acupressure with Western psychology. Tapping on certain points helps send calming signals to the brain, which reduces the emotional charge of stress, fear, or difficult memories.
My Journey
I integrate EFT because of its immediacy. Many people describe feeling a shift within minutes. It’s empowering, practical, and ideal for people who feel overwhelmed or struggle with spiralling thoughts. It can also be used to navigate challenging memories or life experiences – places where you might feel ‘stuck’ or overwhelmed, and help you to move past them and process naturally.
The Experience
We tap on specific points together while gently acknowledging your thoughts or emotions. The combination of touch, breath, and awareness helps the nervous system soften and creates space for new perspectives. It is like a meeting point between holistic therapy and psychotherapy.
